The weather is changing, and we will be seeing a lot more seasonal illness very soon. Please remind your scholars to wear their jackets while outdoors!
Although our goal is 90% attendance for our scholars, please remember to keep your scholar home if they are vomiting or have a fever. If they wake up with a fever and you treat it at home and the fever goes away, they still must stay home. The school district’s sick policy is that scholars may return to school after a fever or vomiting when they are 24 hours fever/vomiting free WITHOUT THE USE OF MEDICINE! Please refer to the chart below and if you have any questions, please call or text me.
We are no longer doing Covid Testing in the schools due to the end of the COVID public health emergency. If you are in need of take-home covid tests, please give me a call or shoot me a text (267-416-0098). You can also obtain them from your local pharmacy, FREE OF CHARGE, using your insurance card.
If you need dental care, Penn Dental comes to our school monthly to provide Dental Screenings and so much more. Please reach out if you would like to sign your scholars up to receive dental care at school. Dental Forms are also available in the main office.
If you are in need of urgent care/emergency services or primary care for anyone in your family, CityLife Health Clinic is located at 6232 Market Street and they provide a range of services. Please use the link below to explore what they have to offer! They are open Monday-Saturday until 8PM.
ONLINE APPOINTMENTS EASILY MADE & WALK-INS WELCOME!
Any updated health forms you receive from your child’s doctor, please forward them to my email so I can keep their health records updated. gmcgill@philasd.org
If your child takes daily prescribed medications or as needed prescribed medications (such as an Albuterol inhaler), during school hours, this form must be completed by their physician and returned to me along with the medication in a box from the pharmacy with their name on it in order for medications to be administered in school by me. Scholars should not have medication on them while in school to take (or give) at their leisure.
